Juvenile Bird

I would love to know what species this bird is, I spotted it in New Zealand near Rotorua and entertained the possibility that it might be a Fantail. However I don't believe it is a fantail as the feet are red and the plumage doesn't appear to be brown enough. If you know what it is please leave a comment.
